I guess we're a little late for New Years Resolutions but if we're making changes to improve ourselves, who cares when we make it, right? Ever since we started this blog in 2014, we have been so fortunate to meet amazing people who share the same love for food as we do and have been to so many amazing restaurants in Toronto. This year for us will be about spending more time with the people we care about and doing things that give back to the community that we're so thankful to be a part of.

REVIEW | Food Nook Tours - Roncesvalles

Toronto is made of many unique neighbourhoods, each with their own history, culture - not to mention restaurants and bars. It wasn't until Bria's Food Nook Tour that I actually spent an entire Saturday afternoon in Roncesvalles, where she took us to 5 shops and taught us all about the area.

 

Two Friends, One Fiesta & a Whole Lot of Food & Drinks in #the6ix

We just recently moved downtown and needless to say, the food possibilities are endless! As much as we love living downtown, the one thing we do miss is having a car. Everything downtown is easily accessible but there's nothing like getting into a car and knowing you'll be where you need to go without any delays!

REVIEW | Sam James Coffee Pocket - a no-fuss, no-BS, quickie coffee bar in Koreatown

I'm sure many coffee-lovers in the city are already aware of the two Sam James Coffee Bar locations on Harbord and King St.  It was a mere coincidence that on one afternoon, I happen walking on Bloor Steet (just had some Korean soondubu that day) that I saw this hidden gem called the Sam James Coffee Pocket!  And, what a perfect name for this location.

REVIEW | Royal Boonsik 로얄분식 - spicy rice cake, fish cake soup, tempura veggies, kimbap & more Korean fast food!

When you're in Koreatown, or Uptown, there's an abundance of restaurants that offer 'Boonsik.'  Boonsik basically means Korean fast food that is prepared and served fast with typical menus  being mandoo (dumplings), dukbokki (spicy rice cakes), and twee-gim (various deep fried veggies).  One restaurant that offers boonsik that has been consistently offering delicious food is none other than Royal Boonsik in Koreatown.

WE LOVE | Sugar Tooth Fairy Cupcakes - custom cupcake bouquets & gourmet cupcakes to cure your sweet tooth!

We LOVE cupcakes! Red velvet, vanilla, cookies n’ cream, chocolate, you name it, we're more than likely to love it! We recently tried cupcakes from Tania at Sugar Tooth Fairy who runs her own cupcake and cake business in Toronto. You’ll have to order ahead of time as she makes everything herself and doesn’t have a store front just quite yet. We were so impressed by the presentation and the deliciousness of her cupcakes, we thought we would share with you guys!
