We LOVE cupcakes!
Red velvet, vanilla, cookies n’ cream, chocolate, you name it, we're more than likely to love
it! We recently tried cupcakes from Tania at Sugar Tooth Fairy who runs her own
cupcake and cake business in Toronto. You’ll have to order ahead of time as she
makes everything herself and doesn’t have a store front just quite yet. We were so impressed by the presentation and the deliciousness of her cupcakes, we thought we would share with you guys!
We personally prefer cupcakes that are not too sweet
and without excessive icing on the top, which takes away from
the cupcake itself. The cupcakes from Sugar Tooth Fairy fulfill both of those cupcake preferences we have.
Fabulous French Toast
– a cinnamon infused bake beneath a bed of maple syrup butter cream drizzled
with maple syrup and garnished with a pinch of powdered sugar and a cinnamon
white chocolate garnish. I never had this flavour of a cupcake before and it was yummy - so yes, it tastes as great as it looks!
All Hail Cookie Dough
- a cookie dough flavoured cake stuffed with a ball of edible cookie topped
with cookie dough frosting and garnished with chocolate chips and a chocolate
chip cookie. The frosting on this
cupcake definitely tasted lighter and was a personal favourite. Can’t go wrong
with cookies!
Amors Red Velvet – a
classic red velvet cake stuffed with a light homemade vanilla whipped cream
topped with cream cheese icing. The cupcake was moist and there was just enough cream cheese icing to add that sweetness.
Caramel Macchiato – a
rich slightly bitter chocolate espresso cupcake filled with a chocolate caramel
ganache topped with a light frosting drizzled with caramel and decorated with a
chocolate garnish. I love Caramel Macchiato as a drink, but I could get used to this alternative! Tania got the caramel and chocolate ratio perfect on this one.
Nutella addiction – dark
chocolate cake filled with a dollop of Nutella, topped with a light hazelnut buttercream
and crowned with a sprinkling of crushed Ferrero Rocher. You can't go wrong with Nutella! Seriously enjoyed the crushed Ferrero Rocher on top. Mmm!
Gingerbread (seasonal)
- spiced gingerbread cake filled with a spiced cookie filling topped with a
cream cheese icing and garnished with a gingersnap or gingerbread. The gingerbread flavour really came through
and the frosting was quite rich so ratio of cupcake and icing was done well.
All the cupcakes had stuffing inside and we would have preferred some of the richer cupcakes without it, but nonetheless, they were still delicious!
We only recently discovered a new way to eat a cupcake
without eating the icing first and then saving the cake part for the last (yes, we're a little late jumping on the bandwagon for this). Eating the
cupcake this way gives the perfect ratio of icing to cupcake in every bite!

In addition to the customized cupcakes that are available, you can also order cupcake bouquets! We instantly fell in love with the idea of cupcake bouquets especially for events where you need a centerpiece. No more fighting over whom gets to take the centerpiece home…everyone can take a cupcake and dessert is served! Take a look at some of Tania's creations:
The best cupcake i ever tasted!! they all looked so pretty too!! look at those bouquets cupcakes, too pretty to eat them!! :)
