REVIEW | Snug Harbour - Port Credit's restaurant with an unbeatable view

Patio season has arrived in Ontario, Canada (it's really about time)!  With the weather getting warmer everyday, there's more of a reason to dine Al fresco at restaurants with outdoor spaces.  And what makes Snug Harbour special? They've located in Port Credit Marina, overlooking the water, where you can enjoy great food with a great view.

RECIPE | Waffle Machine Hashed Browns - A new way to enjoy breakfast at home!

I'm sure most households like my own have a waffle machine but somehow never find a reason to use! Our family doesn't eat waffles that often and if we do it's usually out. Why not use the machine to make another breakfast item, hash browns!

REVIEW | Thobors Boulangerie Patisserie Café - dainty little spot in Midtown

Last year, my co-worker Lindsay (check out her blog) took me to this lovely cafe on Mt. Pleasant, where I had such a delectable lunch. I forgot about this place until last week, where I was in the area meeting a friend and decided to revisit this French bakery: Thobors Boulangerie Patisserie Café!

Tucked away in the Davisville area, this little cafe always had steady traffic, full of people coming for brunch, lunch, light supper or picking up some delectable treats.

REVIEW | 3 Brewers - Oakville's newest addition!

Oakville recently got a new restaurant called The 3 Brewers  in the Winston Park plaza. It's a great location because the theater is there so it's perfect for date night! They also have a location downtown at Yonge and Dundas.

REVIEW | Spice Route - who said $1 sushi nights can't be fancy?

When I think about the times I had sushi because of its low price (you know the ones I'm talking about on Bloor Street), I can tell you that the quality usually suffers, which explains why they can sell at such a low price.  However, when we found out that Spice Route, Asian Bistro & Bar had $1 sushi on Thursdays, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it as we knew this place isn't a cheap-eat.

The entrance is very dramatic and grandeur- when you go inside the restaurant, it's even more dramatic with the lighting, open concept booths, asian-inspired walls, furniture and floor to ceiling glass windows.

Arisu Restaurant - extensive menu but go for the premium Korean BBQ

For some korean barbecue, I paid a visit to a restaurant called Arisu on Bloor, just east of Christie station.  There used to be a McDonalds at this location years ago but after it moved out, this real estate location has been going downhill.  I remember  there were so many different restaurants that took its place but all of them went out of business before their 2-year mark.  That's until Arisu came in.  It's still going strong and when we went, it was busy - which is a good sign!

Song Cook's Mississauga - Korean restaurant popular for Blackbean Noodles (Jjajangmyun)

One of our go-to restaurants for Korean food is Song Cook's - the Mississauga branch.  It's kind of hard to find this place as they have 3 different banners (they really need to change that asap) and none of them say "Song Cook's".  They either say Soft Tofu or Black Bean House in Korean.

Peanut Butter Cookie Variations

The peanut cookies were gobbled up too quickly so I had to make another batch! I tried making it with some different variations :)

Holy Chuck - their business is burgers

As fans of burgers, we had to take the time to go to the much-talked-about burger joint in Toronto call Holy Chuck.  It's been facebook/twitter/blogged about by many people and it was finally our turn!

Recipe: Teriyaki Pulled Pork Recipe

It was time to take a little break from baking so I tried making a pulled pork recipe after hearing co workers talk about it at work. The usual pulled pork recipe is made with barbeque sauce but I changed it up a little bit.

Recipe: Flourless peanut butter cookies

I love baking and my family definitely benefits from the baking except for my sister. She's gluten free so most of the time, she's not able to eat what I bake. I finally decided to relieve her of the torment of smelling baked goods in the house and not being able to enjoy them so I made flourless peanut butter cookies, adapted from Martha Stewart recipes
