REVIEW | XXI Chophouse at The Doctor's House

To be honest, when I first heard someone mention The Doctor's House in Kleinburg, I had no idea what they were talking about. Then someone mentioned a cute white building in a quaint neighbourhood and I became even more confused. It's a good thing we were invited to experience XXI Chophouse and I'll never look back.

REVIEW | New Steak Offerings & Wine by the Ounce Program at Reds Midtown Tavern

Reds Midtown Tavern or Reds Wine Tavern are fun and lively spots in downtown Toronto for wine, cocktails and food but I wasn't aware that they recently added a steak menu and introduced a new Wine By The Ounce program. Having had great experiences at the restaurants, when we were invited to check out their steak offerings, we couldn't wait to try them.

REVIEW | NAO Steakhouse

A good steakhouse is like a needle in a haystack .You know it's there but it's so hard to find. Steak on its own seems like a simple concept, a piece of meat that doesn't require much seasoning and just heat to cook. Yet people everywhere ourselves included have struggled to cook that perfect steak.

Thankfully there are great steakhouses around in Toronto that save us the trouble of slaving over the stove. NAO Steakhouse in Yorkville offers an extensive meat selection as well as other dinner entree options that's not just steak!

REVIEW | Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse, a classy & sophisticated steakhouse on King West

There's a good number of steakhouses in Toronto that are supposed to be "the best," one of them being Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse, which has been on our list for quite a while. With my birthday being the perfect excuse to go splurge on a dinner, we finally made a visit.  We were excited to finally get a taste of their famous in house dry-aged steaks. Located just off King St. and Spadina Ave., the restaurant is really accessible with a few spaces for parking in front of the restaurant as well as valet parking option.

REVIEW | The Shore Club for Winterlicious 2014 - upscale dining in Toronto's financial district

Walking into The Shore Club made us feel like we were walking right onto the set of Mad Men. With its high ceiling, exquisite wood furniture and waiters in white waist coasts, it certainly is a place with high standards set to impress. Breakfast at Tiffany's playing in the background on the TVs was icing on the cake.

OPENING | Reds Midtown Tavern - the perfect spot for sharable plates, signature cocktails, local craft brews and a game of shuffle board

Reds Midtown Tavern, newly opened and conveniently located at Yonge and Gerrard, is a great addition to an area that’s relatively void of an upscale, yet casual restaurant. With delicious food, impressive wine list and a focus on local draft beer, it's no surprise the place has been so busy since it's opening and many are calling it their neighbourhood hangout.

REVIEW | Bymark - Mark McEwan's Toronto restaurant for a perfect romantic dinner

There are a few high-end restaurants in the city that you save for special occasions.  We want to suggest this particular place Monica recently visited to celebrate her anniversary & had a flawless experience.  It's none other than Celebrity Chef, Mark McEwan's Bymark Restaurant.

REVIEW | Summerlicious at Wildfire Steakhouse: romantic venue, attentive staff & delicious food

Trying new restaurants during Summerlicious could be a risk but after visiting Wildfire Steakhouse & Wine Bar for lunch, we were impressed at all three courses of the menu, their friendly staff and the beautiful interior.

Located just South Yonge st. and York Mills, it's easily accessible by car or public transportation.  We immediately fell in love with this area as we walked to the restaurant.

Winterlicious 2013: Jump - an overall great dining experience

Being an O&B fan, I decided to try one of their restaurant that I haven't been to before, called Jump for another Winterlicious dinner.

Monica at Jump Restaurant with her dessert

Jump is a sleek and modern American bistro style restaurant located in the heart of downtown Toronto, in the business district.  They have a both eclectic and classic interior with sky high glass atrium and beautiful wood in the entire interior.

Winterlicious 2013 at Canoe - it's not everyday we indulge in culinary creations

Canoe is considered one of Toronto's top restaurants and under the Oliver & Bonacini brand. Getting a reservation there was on a whole level and my friend had to call 250 times before we finally got a reservation!

REVIEW | Sassafraz - winterlicious 2013 in the heart of Yorkville

For those of you who are not familiar, Winterlicious is a culinary event in Toronto that happens during the winter months (stating the obvious, here) where restaurant and cafes offer a prix fixe menu.  Being foodlovers, we weren't going to pass up this opportunity to try new restaurants and revisit old favourites!

Monica had the chance to visit Sassafraz, a well-known restaurant in the Yorkville neighbourhood for lunch last weekend with some friends.
