We find Baldwin Village to be a street in Toronto that is ever growing. You'll never know what to expect in terms of businesses that will pop up! Not to mention it's diverse food culture including gelato, ramen, Italian, Filipino food and so much more. It doesn't surprise us at all that Light Cafe decided to take residence on Baldwin.

RECIPE | What to serve this holiday season when entertaining & hosting
With everyone’s busy schedules, we find that it’s getting harder to schedule time with family and friends. Especially with the holidays coming up, the weekends are filling up fast with holiday parties and get-togethers.
We’ve been trying to spend quality time with everyone and what better way to do that than cooking and eat together?

REVIEW | Té
Toronto Real Estate is no joke and many other like us find it a struggle to keep up with a social life style and be able to afford the rent at the first of every month. Restaurants are no different and they face the same struggles if not more trying to keep up with the expenses.
It should come as no surprise then that many restaurants come and go and sometimes it can be hard to keep up with what's new. We're especially excited that Te has opened up in the Ossington area and is a place we can go to for food and late night eats.

DINNER IDEAS | Date night with friends
Some nights in our new home call for extravagant dinners that take a few hours to prep and clean while some nights call for easy prep meals that feel like fancy dinners. Those are the nights when we would rather stay in and watch one or two movies on Netfliix. Thankfully Old El Paso (OEP) has us covered for the easy prep nights with all their taco kits.

DINNER IDEAS | Shrimp & Steak Fajitas with Old El Paso
Last Friday, I had my sister over for a girls night in. Basically, the perfect excuse to eat copious amounts of food and binge watch chick flicks. We had the movies down, but deciding on what to cook for ourselves was a challenge. I had an Old El Paso kit in the pantry, so we agreed on a #TacoNight!

Two Friends, One Fiesta & a Whole Lot of Food & Drinks in #the6ix
We just recently moved downtown and needless to say, the food possibilities are endless! As much as we love living downtown, the one thing we do miss is having a car. Everything downtown is easily accessible but there's nothing like getting into a car and knowing you'll be where you need to go without any delays!
We were fortunate enough to take the Ford Fiesta around the 6ix for a big foodie adventure! Keep reading to find out where we ventured off to!

LAUNCH | Boston Pizza's all-star menu items this summer
Summer in Toronto comes and goes so fast that sometimes we feel like we don't have enough time to enjoy all there is that Toronto has to offer. We're on a mission to try as many food and drinks as we can and a couple of weekends ago, we made a visit to Boston Pizza to try out their new summer menu while watching the Blue Jays Game!

RECIPE| Chorizo, turkey, lentil medley with Muir Glen's Organic Tomatoes
We recently moved downtown and having to think of new things to cook for lunch and dinner is starting to consume a lot of our time. Let's be real, after working 9-5 we're really not up for having a new recipe for each day of the week. We prefer making big batches of food to last us through the week and this Chorizo, turkey and lentil medley is perfect for that!

A Food Sisterhood's kind of Mother's Day - Wining and Dining
The kitchen's full of gadgets that have never seen the light of day, the closet's full of clothes even our grandmothers won't wear and the number of flower bouquets purchased could be enough to decorate a wedding.
We've finally ran out of mother's day gift ideas after 27 years of brainstorming. Luckily for us, LifeExperiences came along and we were filled with hope again. Let's be real, as great as physical gifts are, they often end up in a box somewhere in the basement until it's time for spring cleaning.

RECIPE | Quick & healthy yogurt bowl with iögo's new format pouch!
Sometimes, I just want a snack that's easy to prepare but also healthy - especially after working out (I'm trying to be more active this year). With the weather getting warmer in the city, I find myself craving fresh fruits. What better way to enjoy them than with some granola and yogurt? I picked up the new iogo package the other day, which came in a resealable bag and decided to make a yogurt bowl.

EVENT | Marine Stewardship Council: Learning where our seafood comes from
For the past little while, the talk of the town has been all about going organic. It's been really interesting to learn about regulations and its impacts. We do have to admit that it's a little daunting to know the non-organic tomatoes we've been buying are not actually supposed to be the size of a watermelon. Another industry that we recently learned about was the seafood market and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and what we can do as consumers to ensure that we're buying sustainable seafood.

REVIEW | MeNami
Noodles or rice? What a tough call - to me at least. And being quite indecisive when it comes to choosing where & what to eat, it's not an easy decision for me. Luckily, Cristina & Jon (@CJ.noms) and Jeff (@jeffahlei) made it easy for me when they invited me over to try out the newly opened MeNaMi in North York. It has received some buzz since it's opening as a popular Japanese Udon & Sake bar in that neighbourhood.

REVIEW | Ufficio
'Never drink on an empty stomach' is a lesson I learned during my time in university and an important one at that. Before a dance-filled night out with girlfriends, what better way to start the night than with good food and cocktails? A few weeks ago, we headed over to Ufficio on Ossington Ave. and Dundas St. W., a new spot that's been getting great reviews by many.

REVIEW | Boku Sushi
The night Toronto got 20cm of snow was the night I was at dinner for some sushi and sake - so dedicated, right? Located on Gristmill Lane in the Distillery District, Boku serves a variety of Japanese specialties including blow torched sushi, sashimi and omakase.

LAUNCH | A Taste of FELIX LA at Gusto 101's Private Wine Cellar
Last week felt like real Canadian winter in Toronto: snowy, slushy and dreadful. Thankfully I had a memorable dinner in the Private Wine Cellar at Gusto 101 - one of my favourite Italian restaurants in the city. The Prosecco, wines and of course the food left me and my tastebuds so satisfied that the cold was the last thing on my mind for the rest of the week.

REVIEW | Diwan restaurant at the Aga Khan Museum
Ah, the power of social media, or maybe it's just my #FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) but I've noticed many visits to the Aga Khan Museum lately on instagram. I was obviously intrigued and curious about what this museum exhibits, so when I was invited for a lunch at the Diwan Restaurant located inside the museum, I didn't hesitate.

REVIEW | Sunday Brunch & Cocktails at FIGO
Lazy Sundays are one of my favourite things but if there's something I would get up & try to look decent for, it's brunch. Especially if the restaurant is as stylishly elegant as FIGO is. This pretty spot is located in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district, so if you live in the area, I'm quite jealous!

REVIEW | Francobollo
We made our way to Francobollo Posto Italiano towards the end of last year to satisfy our cravings for Italian food. If you guys remember, we went to Terra in November and loved everything from the decor, meal and right down to the service. We had just as high expectations for Francobollo being the newest addition from the Substance Food Group.

EVENT | Elle Cuisine's Holiday Party with Bourbon-infused Food & Bourbon Pairings
December is always a crazy month. Gift shopping, boxing day shopping, holiday parties, long work hours before taking some days off, the list goes on. Looking back at the month that always seems to fly by, one holiday party stands out: Elle Cuisine's holiday party at Apt 200.

REVIEW | Feast ON 7-Course Dinner Experience at Spirit Tree Cidery
First off, let me just say that I love beef and cheese. When I heard about the Feast ON dinner featuring both, I couldn't say no. I invited my friend along for a mini road trip to Terra Cotta, just South West of Caledon for this 6-course dinner featuring cider pairings from Spirit Tree Cidery.

REVIEW | Kingyo Izakaya
I don't often find myself at Cabbagetown even though I've heard of Kingyo Izakaya many times from other food bloggers that I've met. The brand originated in Vancouver and opened its Toronto doors in 2012, so my visit is way overdue. To my delight, Yuki (PekoPekoLife) organized a menu tasting that I wouldn't dare miss out on!

LAUNCH | Toronto's popular Japanese izakaya rebranded as Kinka Izakaya
Guu Izakaya has been in Toronto quite a while now and Torontonians are probably used to being greeted by the servers' "irashaimase" every time they enter the restaurant. All three locations have been rebranded as Kinka Izakaya as of late but fear not, as they're still serving their signature dishes, and being attentive as ever. I haven't been for a few months and for this visit, I got to taste all my usual favourites and then some.
