Cupcakes, cookies, cakes, candy... what do they all have in
common? Besides the letter c, they all satisfy our never ending need for sweets. No meal, party or gathering is complete
without some desserts. With so many different options available now such as
cupcakes, cakes and pastries, it can be hard to figure out how to really make the end of
your meal or party your own. Thank goodness for all the new pop up businesses that
specializes in customized cakes and desserts!
For my sister’s recent baby shower, we had a customized baby
blocks cake made from AM Sweet Cake and Co.
Although this baby blocks cake looks simple (kind of) it still takes
days to make as you have to bake the cake, chill it and then prepare the
fondant.
I loved that I was able to personalize the cake exactly how I wanted. Every time I see a fondant cake, I am still amazed at how perfect they look, almost too perfect to cut and ruin the masterpiece! It was definitely a great way for the new parents-to-be to have something so unique for their baby shower.

The cake was a chocolate base with coloured fondant. It was full of chocolate flavour and super moist. The fondant was pretty sweet but
I couldn’t stop eating it!
Customized desserts don’t have to be limited to cakes. You
can get cupcakes that are themed or chocolate for goodie bags or even cookies
to make a cute dessert souvenir!
