Opening a restaurant that has a very small menu can often
prove to be an obstacle but gaining popularity and staying open in industry
that has such high turnover is another challenge all on its own. On one hand, it saddens me to say that I have
only recently tried The One that Got Away but on the other hand, if I had tried
it any sooner I probably would have missed out on trying a lot of other
restaurants.
The concept behind this restaurant is simple and to the
point. They serve fish and lobster on a Wednesday but if you aren’t a fan of seafood,
this restaurant isn’t for you.
Although we dined
inside, there were far more people ordering take out than sitting down possibly
due to the limited availability of seats inside the restaurant.
It's great that menu is so easy to read and personalized. It is a big confusing on the website as they group the options separately but once you read the menu in the restaurant it becomes very simple. You start off by choosing the fish that you would like and whether you want it as fish and chips, a sandwich, a wrap or with a salad instead of fries.

The fries were delicious, well seasoned. Thicker fries are a personal favourite and The One That Got Away definitely gets it right. The salmon burger was a little messy to eat as the salmon flaked off very easily but nonetheless still delicious.
Their fish tacos are only available in the evenings and they also run daily specials.
The prices were great for the amount of food that you get and is perfect a quick grab and go! I am already looking forward to going back and getting the fish basket!
