Uptown Toronto is no stranger to food lovers all across town
with its dense population of Korean restaurants and other various food venues.
With many franchises in that area, finding small restaurants can prove to be
quite the challenge and Oh Geul Boh Geul 오글보글 certainly
has its fair share of competition just two doors down from the well-known Owl
of Minerva.

EVENT | Carens Wine & Cheese Bar - Yorkville's hidden gem for a great selection of wine & cheese
We were invited for a blogger night at Carens Wine & Cheese Bar, situated in Yorkville. A wine & cheese bar is quite perfect for the luxurious neighbourhood to stop by after shopping or after being pampered at a Spa nearby. We've never been here or heard of it as it's not really noticeable as you walk along Cumberland Street but so glad we had the chance to get a taste of what they're all about. We think we found great spot to come for a glass of wine (or a bottle) and a delicious cheese board with girlfriends or on a date!

REVIEW | Sugar Marmalade Inc, - comforting Chinese snacks and desserts in the heart of North York
Sugar Marmalade Inc. is an excellent restaurant for dessert
lovers seeking for fine Chinese and Taiwanese desserts. Located on Yonge St. in
a popular Korean district, Sugar Marmalade Inc. offers an excellent blend of finely
crafted dishes, convenient location and a comfortable environment reminiscent
of shops from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

EVENT | Yum Cha TO Recap - a dim sum festival with Me.N.U, GwaiLo, Babi & Co., Linda Modern Thai, Canoe, Hot Bunzz, Feast TO & La Brea!
There was a lot of buzz about Toronto's very first Dim Sum Festival, called YumchaTO. Being dim sum lovers ourselves, we didn't hesitate to buy tickets to attend. It was held at a two-story building in the heart of Chinatown and although ventilation seemed to be a bit of an issue, that didn't stop us from indulging in as many dishes as we could!

REVIEW | Fresh On Eglinton Review - Toronto's modern vegetarian food & made-to-order juice bar since 1999
Fresh Restaurants has been around for 15 years (and counting), so why haven't I been there before? It was just this past week that I finally made a visit for lunch and from hearing about those quinoa battered onion rings, my expectations were high! I went to the Fresh on Eglinton, the newest location by the Fresh chain. The other 3 locations are spread throughout downtown Toronto.

REVIEW | Seoul Restaurant - just another mediocre 'cheap eats' restaurant in Koreatown
Seoul Restaurant is another one of those Korean-family owned casual restaurant in Korea Town. They specialize in hot pot cooked dishes with seafood, dumplings and also in Korean street food 'boon-shik.' However, don't expect top-notch service and memorably delicious food as this joint is more for a quick & affordable meal.

REVIEW | Koo Koo Chicken - you will go cuckoo for this Taiwanese chicken!
KooKoo Chicken’s opening in Mississauga has been a long
awaited event for local bubble tea goer’s and Taiwanese snack food lovers. For as long
as I remember, enjoying quality bubble tea and Taiwanese snacks has been
synonymous to a 45-minute drive east to the bubble tea chains in Markham and
Richmond Hill. With the opening of KooKoo Chicken, local bubble tea giant
Bubble Republic will truly get a run for their money.

REVIEW | The Fry - one of the best spots in North York for Korean Fried Chicken (KFC)
Fried chicken is probably one of Korea's most popular late-night eats and in Korea, they're readily available with delivery and countless numbers of restaurants for it. Unfortunately in Toronto, there's only a handful of restaurants that specialize in this dish. One of them, which I personally think is the best in the city is called The Fry. Both of The Fry's locations are on located on Yonge, one on Sheppard and the other, North of Finch.

I finally made it to the talk of the town Bar Isabel for dinner with my co workers. It has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while now after having read amazing reviews on the food that they have.
