The Shangri-La hotel is known for its luxurious and Asian-influenced decor and the new hotel in the heart of Toronto was no exception. At first glance of the lobby lounge, you see massive paintings, beautiful sculptures, friendly smiles from the servers and a wide burning fireplace, which is where we were seated. Our server was very knowledgeable in each of the teas and was able to explain what we can expect from them. She was also very attentive, checking up on us often to make sure our tea cups were never empty.
The scones were great - especially the butter scones, which I preferred to their popular Raisin Scones. They were served with devonshire clotted cream (love!) and peach compote.
