LAUNCH | New menu & kitchen program with premium whisky at The Emmet Ray

Ever since its doors opened in December 2009 on College St., The Emmet Ray remains as comfortable and inviting as it was 5 years ago. While the atmosphere has stayed the same, they have recently launched a new menu and kitchen program which is sure to impress regulars and new diners.



Thing to know about The Emmet Ray: they are open 365 days a year from 5pm - 2am and there are over 230 types of whisky that are available! If you're a whisky-lover, you might as well call this your new hang-out spot.

Along with the food and drinks also comes nightly entertainment, including performances by various artists, DJs and special events. For more information on nightly entertainment, click here.

After attending their menu launch, we have to say it is pretty impressive and incorporates fancy elements with comfort food that we can all appreciate!

  Root vegetable fondant with smoked carrot, crisps & grains ($11.00)

Gnocchi Poutine with Ontario mushroom ragu & aged goat gouda ($11.00)

Herb-crusted spiced-pork meat ball

Steamer clam chowder with bacon & house toast ($10.00)

Pommes Anna supreme with spiced crema, tomatoes & cheddar ($7.00)


Piquant greens with smoked trout, maple soy vinaigrette & seeds ($12.00)

  Pastrami beef heart with potato & chorizo vinaigrette ($15.00)

Pepperoni pull apart bread with garlic butter ($6.00)

Located on Collete Street, just west of Ossington, The Emmet Ray is both car and TTC-accessible. This is a much more casual and welcoming whisky bar that also offers tasty food, rather than a typical upscale boys club bar.

So, why not make a visit for a drink (or two) for your next night out with your friends or a date?
