It's the very first day of TIFF 2014 and what better way to start off than to talk about some drool-worthy specials at some of our favourite restaurants? TIFF is Toronto's liveliest and the most star-studded event in the film industry so it's no wonder why chefs are bringing their best dishes forward. Luckee is no exception and one of our most anticipated - we love Chef Susur Lee's take on TIFF with his own 'production' called - Spotlight Dimsum.
Luckee is residing inside the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel, conveniently located for TIFF-goers on Wellington and Blue Jays Way. Enjoy an elevated dim sum experience at any time of the day during TIFF from breakfast, lunch, dinner to afternoon tea and cocktail hour.
Read our previous review on Luckee's dimsum lunch service here.
Get your dim sum on bright and early as the perfect accompaniments to your tea or coffee. Cart service is also available.
$35 per person
Chef Lee highlights the best of dim sum in this 4-course lunch special. High recommended as this lunch will include Chef’s new Luckee Soba Salad – a spinoff of his famous slaw at Lee – made with 19 fresh ingredients, sure to tantalize your tastebuds.
Who said Afternoon Tea consists only of scones & petit fours? Enjoy
dim sum paired with specialty cocktails, champagne and other liberations, including cold sake on tap by Izumi between screenings.
Act Three - Dinner from 5:30PM to 10PM
The climax - for your senses - can be found at Luckee for Chef Lee's mouthwatering dinner service. Indulge in his famous Xiao Long Bao (pork soup dumpling), Szechuan kung pao shrimp, Luckee Duck, and more!
Wine down with Luckee’s ‘cold tea’ – a blend of calvados, chambord, lemon peel, beaus beer, served in a teapot just as you’d expect.
So, there you have it! Make sure you pay a visit (or two) to Luckee for a special dim sum experience carefully crafted by Chef Susur Lee. Perhaps we'll run into you there for drink of Luckee's Cold Tea?
