For a limited time only, Bent Restaurant is serving up a delightful 5-course vegetarian tasting menu from September 9 - 20. After getting a taste of what the menu is all about with a workshop on how to make a meringue, we are certain you won't ever say vegetarian dishes are boring anymore!

We started off the workshop with a few dishes from the original Bent menu, which were all very flavourful and delicately incorporated Asian inspiration in every dish. We've never been to Bent before and let's just say it won't be long until we return.
Crispy Chicken Dumpling - spicy roasted chorizo, maple & smoked chili lime glaze and parmesan emulsion
Guacamole Taro Taco - Love this new innovative way to serve a taco!
The famous 19 ingredient Singapore Slaw - If you haven't had the chance to order the signature slaw at Lee, you are definitely missing out! This signature dish by Chef Susur is traditionally prepared for Chinese New Years to bring in good luck, but we are definitely happy that it's available all year long at Lee and coming soon to Bent!
Susur Lee is definitely in his element showing us the the various herbs and vegetables grown from the garden right behind the restaurant. It doesn't get anymore fresh than that!
Bartender Manuel taught us a thing or two when it comes to preparing the perfect cocktail with his Asian Caesar demonstration. We were especially impressed with how many ingredients go into that cocktail!
Asian Caesar - home-made clamato with muddled coriander, hoisin, soya, chilli sesame oil, Sriracha, rimmed with Chef Lee's 5-spice secret blend topped with pickled watermelon rind & radish
The Karate Kid II - a sake based cocktail with nigori sake, jasmine tea infused gin, yuzu & lime juice, vanilla syrup, egg white & coriander
Chilled Soba with shredded local vegetables & yuba cake, confit of shiitake, shiso leaf, nori crisps & Taiwanese vinaigrette
Chickpea Tempura Tofu with pickled brassica & fresh mint, shishito peppers, Korean sweet chilli sauce & braised burdock root
French Meringue with Golden Licorice topped with lemon curd, wild blueberry, peaches, passion fruit syrup & raspberry coulis
A bonus is the amazing patio that Bent has outside, so enjoy the amazing weather outside and try out Veggielicious from September 9- 20!
