REVIEW | CC Lounge & Supper Club

The first step inside the new CC Lounge & Supper Club on Yonge & Front will immediately draw your attention to their life-size gold-rimed birdcage, supple leather couches, wooden barrel tables and exposed brick wall - all meticulously designed to create the prohibition-era inspired atmosphere.  This Whisky specialty lounge provides guests a delicious menu full of comfort food as well as Whisky Tastings in their unique 'Whisky Tunnel.'

EVENT | Pizza & Gelato Party at G for Gelato in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood - what a blast!

We've always been told not to judge by a book by its cover and we shouldn't judge a restaurant by its name either. G for Gelato - gelato and espresso bar definitely offers more than just that!

REVIEW | Swish by Han - the best fusion menu combining traditional Korean with a modern American twist

I can't believe it's taken this long for me to eat at Swish by Han. I've been to their other location, OddSeoul, which I loved, so I had high expectations for the Han brothers' original restaurant in Toronto.  With the launch of their new 2014 menu, it was the perfect excuse to visit. This posh and hip Korean Fushion Restaurant is located on Wellington, just between Yonge St. and Church St.

EVENT | Getting chocolate-crazy at the Chocolate Tales Workshop in St. Lawrence Market

We have major soft spots for chocolate. Milk chocolate or white chocolate has always been both of our favourites, but with age comes sophistication of the palette we suppose as we've started to embrace dark chocolate as well. As simple as a chocolate bar may seem, there is actually a lot to learn before creating that perfect taste and texture.  Last weekend, we had the chance to explore the world of chocolate!

This past Sunday we tried out one of Chocolate Tales’ chocolate making class. They have workshops at many different locations such as (The St. Lawrence Market, The Mad Bean, Swansea Town Hall, and more). We headed over to the St. Lawrence market location. Each class runs for about 90 minutes give or take, but doors usually open 30 minutes before the class start. I would recommend getting there early so you can get a good seat and be able to sit with whoever you’re going with!

REVIEW | Biff's Bistro - Toronto's casual, yet refined French cuisine by Oliver & Bonacini

Being a big fan of Oliver & Bonacini's Jump Restaurant  (read review), I was excited to head to Biff's Bistro for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday.  It is located on Front St, just off Yonge, right beside the O&B Cafe and Grill.  The European inspired tablecloths, an eye-catching red door and the name 'Biff's' lit up 'Moulin Rouge' style, had me excited to try some French dining.
