EVENT | Healthy Planet launches 2 new hearty soups: Kawartha Chicken Noodle & Thai Chicken Soup

We're sad to finally admit it but winter is fast approaching and that usually means soup consumption for us is at an all time high. Lucky for us, Happy Planet has just introduced two new soups: the Kawartha Chicken Noodle Soup and Thai Chicken Soup.

Off the top of our heads, we can already think of three things that we love about Happy Planet products:
  • They are a Canadian company based in British Columbia and we love supporting local companies
  • Happy Planet understands the importance of what we put in our bodies and that means they use natural ingredients that are free from preservatives
  • Lastly, they've done all the hard work for us, so all we need to do is pick up their products at our local supermarket, heat it up and eat it!

We were invited to try the new soups first hand during a cooking demo with Chef Brianne Nash  at Nella Cucina. They sell high quality kitchen hardware and even have a kitchen upstairs for classes and workshops.

As we mentioned previously, all the ingredients in Happy Planet soups are things that we have heard of or at the very least can pronounce. If you look at other canned soups, you'll notice MSG as an ingredient in all or most of them. Above is a picture of all the ingredients that go into making the Thai Chicken Soup - there's nothing you wouldn't use if you were making the soup from scratch.

Along with their fresh soups, Happy Planet also offers juices, lemonades and smoothies, all made with fresh ingredients and no sugar added in their smoothies as well!

The cooking demo with Chef Nash consisted of a salad, the Thai Chicken Soup and dessert.
