With just over a month until Christmas, I'm sure everyone's planning their holiday gift lists and get togethers with friends and family - we're no exception! After visiting David's Tea's new & improved location on Queen West (they've moved a block East), I'm super inspired to recreate their tea cocktails and tea lattes using some of their festive Winter Collection teas!
How inviting do the above sugar plum sparklers look? Easily made by combining David Tea's sugar plum forest (rooibos) tea syrup with sparkling wine, almond liqueur and cinnamon, these tea cocktails are sure to be your best welcoming cocktails to your holiday party.
Easy Recipe for Sugar plum Sparkler using the sugar plum forest tea
Ingredients:
- 4oz sparkling wine
- 1/4oz bitter almond liqueur (Amaretto)
- 1oz "Sugar Plum Forest" syrup
- rasp'd cinnamon
Directions for "Sugar Plum Forest" syrup:
1. In a small saucepan, place 2 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar & 1/2 cup of Sugar Plum Forest Tea.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 5 min.
3. Remove from heat and let steep an additional 5 min.
4. Strain.
Directions for Sugar Plum Sparkler:
1. Place sparkling wine, syrup and almond liqueur in a glass.
2 Garnish with rasp'd cinnamon.

Want something a bit more creamy and cozy? Go for the Spied Apple Custard! I personally prefer this because I am a custard lover.
Easy Recipe for Spiced Apple Custard using the apple custard tea
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2oz cream
- 1/4oz Fernet Branca bitter
- rasp'd cinnamon
Directions for "Apple Custard" syrup:
1. In a small saucepan, place 2 cups of water with 1 cup of sugar & 1/2 cup of Apple Custard tea.
2. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let steep for 10min.
3. Strain.
Directions for Spiced Apple Custard
1. Place all ingredients except cinnamon in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2. Shake for about 5 sec. to fill then strain into a glass
3. Garnish with rasp'ed cinnamon.
